The one book-cloth we allow to be ornate — a woven vine pattern in silver-grey over deep teal, the kind of cloth that used to cover ledgers nobody was allowed to touch. Starched cotton over 2.5mm board, sewn rather than glued at the spine, finished with an elastic closure and a pen loop. A5 or B5, 160 pages of 100 GSM paper, dot grid or unruled.

Customised and foil-stamped orders are made to your specification and can’t be returned, so we send a proof for approval before we bind.
Care
Handloom and cotton covers are textile — keep them out of prolonged direct sun and away from water. Cork and kraft wipe clean with a dry cloth. The spine will soften with use; that is the book settling, not wearing out.
