Our parent company was established in 1942 as Sree Sayee Company — today Sayee Paperworks LLP — and began by importing fine paper from Scandinavia and distributing it across India. For more than 80 years, it has been one of Chennai's leading suppliers of notebooks to schools and colleges, alongside job-binding and finishing work. 

The Paper Collective grew out of that heritage, with a focus on thoughtfully designed, eco-friendly notebooks, journals and albums — made with a mix of artisanal and machine techniques, balancing durability, fine quality and a clean, contemporary aesthetic. We're a small team that loves paper and design, and we're never quite finished improving what we make.
