Every book begins with the right paper. We work with carefully selected stocks from trusted mills, choosing for the feel, weight and purpose of each book. Our acid-free papers are made to endure, keeping the pages as lasting as the words they hold.

The cover
The cover is where a book begins to take on its character. Ikat and handloom fabrics, book cloth, cork, kraft and art boards come together with printed illustrations and carefully chosen finishes. Each cover is cut, wrapped and finished with the kind of attention that comes from years at the bindery.

The binding
A book comes together through its binding. We work with traditional sewn techniques alongside wire-o, hardbound and other binding methods, choosing what best suits the book. It is a craft we have carried forward over generations, refined through years of making.
At our manufacturing and binding unit in Tondiarpet, the work continues through skilled hands, with familiar methods and a deep respect for the craft. Skills passed down through generations still find their place in the work we do today, in every book we make.
We create notebooks that make space for writing in everyday life — holding our thoughts, ideas, plans and stories, and becoming something we return to day after day.
